Yoga, Meditation and Philosophy in Life
I was born and raised in Mainland China and was introduced to Eastern philosophy such as Taoism and Buddhism at an early age. I discovered Yoga in my early 20s. As I deepened my understanding of yoga and buddhist teachings, I realised that my primary practices in life are Ahimsa (Non-Harm), Bhakti (Devotion to Universe), Dhyana (Meditation), Chanting, Karma Yoga (Practice of Action or selfless service) and sharing love with the world. My core philosophy in life is living authentically while limiting the harm to all beings, to my best ability. From there, I adapted a plant-based diet and vegan life style. In Meditation, I practice awareness, deep looking and deep listening while living in this world. I am forever grateful for my parents who supported me in my studies as much as they could. I am grateful for my teachers, those named and unnamed, who shared their wisdom and compassion in my journey. As I continue to live in this world, I am devoted to pass on the resources that were helpful for my journey to the people I meet daily. I am incredibly blessed to share the same interest with my lovely husband who is a fellow yoga and meditation teacher Mark Agrusti (Co-Founder of Yoga Lab). And I am incredibly humbled by how much I learn from our rescued Chinese dog Charlie daily. I live in State College with Mark and our dearest Compassion and Mindfulness teacher Charlie the dog. |
